Hughton warns Bolton off Carroll bid


Newcastle boss Chris Hughton has warned new Bolton counterpart Owen Coyle not to bother making a bid for striker Andy Carroll.Coyle is reported to be considering a £2 million offer for the Gateshead-born 21-year-old following his emergence as a genuine first-team player this season.
But Hughton, who warned off Stoke when they showed interest in the player during the run-up to the January transfer window, said: “He is not for sale.”
Carroll has scored four times for Newcastle in his 20 appearances so far this season.
