Swansea midfielder Ferrie Bodde hopes to return before the end of the season after revealing he is making good progress in his recovery from a serious knee injury. The Dutchman was expected to be ruled out for the rest of the campaign after suffering a recurrence of a knee ligament injury in September.
Bodde sustained the injury against Sheffield United in what was his first start for 10 months after recovering from the same problem.
But the 27-year-old was advised he would not require surgery this time around and arrived back in South Wales on Thursday to reveal he is on course for a premature return.
He told the club’s official website: “The recovery is going well and I’m feeling stronger. I’m feeling fit at the moment but I want to take it slowly and integrate slowly from my rehabilitation and into training with the boys.
“I will see week by week what will happen but I hope to play before the end of the season.”
