Turkey – Fenerbahçe showed Be?ikta? the transfer ropes

Fenerbahçe Chairman Aziz Y?ld?r?m has said they have no targets other than being the champion and that they have shown Be?ikta? how to make a proper transfer by adding Mehmet Topuz to their team.In an article published in Fenerbahçe Journal’s July issue, he wrote that they had started to work from where they left off after the general congress. “We made a pledge to our fans before the congress that we would build a team that strives and sweats for 90 minutes, and we will make headlines in the Turkish Super League and in Europe. We know the responsibilities stemming from this promise. Throughout our history, we have had no other goal than being the champion, and that won’t change now. Drawing on this mentality, we took an oath to win the championship again,” stated Y?ld?r?m.
Y?ld?r?m said they realized that transfers are of the utmost importance and also touched upon a crisis Fenerbahçe earlier had with Be?ikta? over Topuz. “Our club has shown everyone how to make a transfer while complying with the law and has convinced everybody once again of the club’s superiority. Our opponents were unsuccessful in the Topuz transfer, but we did it. While signing our contract, Topuz was wearing a hat with the slogan “Everybody will be a fan of Fenerbahçe one day.” The Topuz transfer is a good example of this motto.”
Y?ld?r?m also summarized the management restructuring they are undertaking in the club this year. Aykut Kocaman, one of Fenerbahçe’s famous former strikers, has been given the post of “sporting manager,” which will be the first of its kind in Turkey. “Kocaman will be helped in his new job, which is an operational post in major clubs in European and world soccer. He will have our full support in his new position which is a significant step towards the restructuring of our management,” he concluded.
